We want to make you aware that there has been a recent increase in burglaries across our neighbourhood, specifically in the Stapenhill & Shobnall area of Burton. These incidents have affected homes and businesses, various items have been stolen from a coat to gardening tools and at least twice offender(s) have been disturbed.

Your safety and peace of mind are our priority. Please take a moment to review the following crime prevention tips to help keep your property secure:

·  Lock all doors and windows—even when you're at home.

·  Use timer switches on lights to give the impression someone is in.

·  Install motion-sensor lighting and consider a video doorbell or CCTV.

·  Keep valuables out of sight and away from windows.

·  Don’t leave keys under doormats or in plant pots.

🏢 Business Premises

·  Ensure shutters, locks, and alarms are in good working order.

·  Remove cash from tills overnight and secure high-value items.

·  Review your security camera coverage and lighting.

·  Report suspicious activity around your premises promptly.

🚗 Vehicle Safety

·  Always lock your car and remove valuables from sight.

·  Park in well-lit, busy areas or secure garages.

·  Consider using a steering wheel lock or tracking device.

·  Never leave keys in the ignition—even for a moment.
